Merry Christmas 2022

“A Holiday Happening” sponsored by the Fayette Historical Society is tomorrow at the Fayette Firehouse! Dec 17, 2022 from 1-5pm

Please come out and join us for any part of the day.  You can purchase Christmas cookies, participate in our fundraiser raffle (drawing at 3pm), and enjoy decorated Christmas trees in styles from days gone by.  We will have a display of Christmas cards from the past!  There will be crafts suitable for all ages and country dancing. If you have historic clothing be sure to wear it as it will fit perfectly with the day and the dance. 

Cookies to buy by the pound:

Christmas sugar cookies, ginger snaps, molasses cookies, almond cookies, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, white chocolate cranberry, chocolate peppermint, double chocolate chip, brownies, peanut butter cookies, and more!

Raffles items to win:

Miranda Cheese Tray, home made wool wreath, jar of local honey, candles, New Lego toys sets, sketch books, kids fun pack, Scrabble game, crocheted scarf, corn heating bag, handmade earrings, pampered chef set and more…

Christmas Ornament crafts to make:

Gnome with wool beard, sheep with yarn, macramé Christmas trees, and popcorn sheep

Country Dances:

Hunting the Fox, Circassian Circle, The Gay Gordon, Bridge of Athlone. A group of 18 of us have met to practice these dances and we hope you will come and join in Saturday! They are easy and fun to learn and we are looking forward to teaching new dancers. Dancing starts at 330pm.
