This was an excellently presented historical talk on Rev. Diedrich Willers and his NY Supreme Court case of 1838. Dr. Freier’s knowledge and engaging storytelling brought the past to life. We also had a very informative tour of the unique Three Bears Courthouse Complex in Ovid! #fayettehistory #livinghistory
On 11/12/24 at 6:30pm at the Three Bears Complex in Ovid, tour the historic courthouse and then learn the background story behind the original dispute between Rev Willers and M. Brown, the details of the court case, and the New York State justice system of the 1830s, and the other community members involved. Then, the final verdict will be revealed! This is a free program open to all. #fayettehistory
